William L. Thrush | Managing Director, Partner

William Thrush is a Managing Director at The Thrush Group. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and a deep entrepreneurial background, Bill is committed to providing clients with personalized service and thoughtful investment advice.
Bill specializes in the development and management of financial strategies for private business owners and their families. With a focus on long-term objectives and current needs, he works with clients to create portfolios that balance their personal and business financial aspirations.

Prior to Hightower, Bill served as a Senior Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President of Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch, where he focused on asset management, tax-minimization strategies and advisory services for private businesses. Previously, Bill ran his family’s commercial lithography firm, where he served as a printing broker. He also founded a marketing firm and worked for Behrman Capital’s $100 million start-up eBusiness consultancy.

Bill earned his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Political Science from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School for Public Affairs and Citizenship. He holds the series 7, 31 and 66 licenses, as well as his Insurance license.
He currently lives in Westport, CT, with his wife, Kelley, and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys golf.
